There is also a 6th rune of a Smiley, perhaps acknowledging the sheer hype the splash pages have created and laughing at us.

I am disappointed though. The face looks very much like Tassadar to me.

6th Glyph = Cairn Stones?

What has really puzzled me is why, if it is a pentagram, it wasn’t making a perfect star. But now look at the cairn stones:

The one on the bottom left is slightly further out than the others, like the lefthand rune on the splash page.

Also, the 6th outlying rune that has now appeared (the smiley) is in the same spot as the 6th pillar of the cairn stones.

Could we have finally cracked it?

ummm, do you think they added the winking smiley just because they know all of us are completely confused by what this means?? =]

Also, they are glowing the same shade of blue as the cairn stones.

Also note the 6th rune isn’t glowing, like the cairn stones again.

Well i truly think its diablo because if you look closely under the eyes, you can see 2 openings that look like nostrils. Also, if you look near the bottom right rune (in the darker area away from the ice) it looks somewhat like part of a horn) Possibly the curved horn of diablo. I also think the runes don’t have anything to do with the cairn stones but remember when you have to fight diablo in diablo 2 you had to release 5 seals and make them glow to make diablo appear? I think its related to that. I could be totally wrong but that would be my 2 cents on the picture =) I am hoping its Diablo 2 =)

I am sorry and i know you guys are all for diablo and stuff but i noticed somthing on this image and i though id make an account and let u know.. if u look on the bottom right right below the eyes u will see a mountain, looking just like the one in warcraft ||| frozen throne??? could this possibly be a new warcraft?

There were also some unconfirmed and unexplained reports of “new” music in Tristram with the 1.12a patch—something about having to listen to it for quite a while to hear the new stuff. This is in contradiction, I think, to another post I saw saying that none of the MPQ files were changed by the patch. I’m not sure if that took into account the music MPQ files which had to be copied across for the no-CD play to work. Can anyone confirm this “new” music in Tristram? Copying the music MPQ files across and “new” music in Tristram…?

Sorry i meant to say diablo 3 in the end and it could either be nostrils or skin =)

Also the winking smiley is beside the hel rune.
