Diablo 3 Announcement at WWI

With this week’s speculation over the Blizzard teasers, more and more reports in the media, and numerous tips coming direct us at IncGamers from reliable inside industry sources in the past 24 hours, we now have confirmation from inside sources to say that Diablo 3 WILL be announced on Saturday at WWI Paris 2008.

With that in mind, we would like to invite Diabloii.net readers to submit their questions for us to ask Blizzard.

This is extremely exciting for all of us here at Diabloii.net. For the past 10 years we have been supporting the Diablo community and to have something completely new to sink our teeth into is fantastic. We will be at the show on Saturday for the announcement and also the press conference which is directly after, so expect reports from the show floor live, interviews and much more.

The fourth symbol is a symbol from The Lost Vikings.

The hidden image is turning out to look like one of one of the monsters in the Lost Vikings games.

Not to mention currently the filenames of the “Cold” creature are 4, 15, 23, 16. If you’ve ever watched the show Lost, you’d know that those are four of the six numbers of the infamous numbers which occur frequently in the show.

My bet’s on The Lost Vikings… which really bums me out because I was really hoping for Diablo 3. But they deserve a new game… haven’t had one for almost 13 years.

I’m sure D3 will be announced this weekend.

Guess why? The most obvious hint has been overlooked by everyone. Everyone has been too busy decoding puzzles and solving runes. Blizzard showed the first D3 reference in their WWI poster:

I’ll wait with the excitement for two reasons: official confirmation, and seeing what kind of game it would be, if this is true. If it’s a MMO, I likely won’t be too interested.

(double-posting to a second thread to make sure the rumour is suitably refuted)

The TYR_EL I_ LO__ rumour is unfortunately bogus. They were using ‘Glacier’ for the word of the day on Tuesday, but the correct word is ‘Cavern’.

This means that instead we have something like TYRA_L IN _O__, so unless the purple penguin is Tyreal’s new main squeeze we’re missing yet more info.
