There is no official announcement. But there are evidence of them wanting to make a movie, and trying to produce it, just like with the WOW movie.

Yeah, but that’s been there for quite some time now. They had on the website for alittle bit (title only), then they removed. Maybe they posted it up again… but I’m sure it’s nothing to focus on now.

How do you think a WoW or Diablo movie would fare?  To me, there would be no reason to see either one except for special effects.  True devotees would go though, I’m sure.

I think a Diablo film would fare well, I mean, the cut scenes were good in D2. Perhaps they could make the whole movie digitally animated? I don’t think an animated horror movie has been made yet, so it could achieve cult status.

If 90% of Diablo fans and horror movie fans went to see it then I think it would be a great success. 

if they put sean connery as a necro then im all for it!

Can’t say I’m disappointed. The vast majority (all?) of video game -> film transitions turn out horribly.

Blame Ewe Boll(?), the guy who makes most of them.

Doom movie - sucks.
Max Payne movie - kind of good.
Final Fantasy movies - ok.

From my experiences it was just doom that was terrible. What are the other game/movies?

Part of me thinks that BLizzard wouldn’t slide in any way on the creative development of a movie with one their beloved franchises… it could be good.
