The Activision/Vivendi merger has now completed to create the giant Activision Blizzard. Since the merger completion was announced yesterday, there have been numerous articles covering the story, mainly on Variety who have been following it closely. A few interesting comments have come to light in the Variety articles including the fact that Activision tried to buy Blizzard but Blizzard didn’t wish to sell, also with the deal now complete, Blizzard execs have been tied into a new long-term contract which runs for five years.
