D3's (still?) simmering graphics controversy and the closure of Flagship Studios are the subject of this week's The Forgotten PC Games column on 411mania.

And, as we continue the march towards every website on earth mentioning Diablo 3, it gets a mention in a blog entry by Jennifer Moody, the education reporter of the Albany-Democrat, a local paper in Albany, Oregon. Her husband's getting ready!
it’s good to have a goal. And since he just got re-addicted to a computer game called Diablo II, in preparation for the Diablo III that’s soon to be released, it’s particularly good to have a physical goal. Pray for me, computer widows, for alas, I have rejoined your sad and lonely ranks.

"Someone's *** must be sore."

Hey that's good stuff - if that fellow keeps plugging, one day he'll have the writing chops to post on every single gaming forum out there along with every flamer or fanboi that ever lived.

Hey Jennifer Moody... here is a tip from a happily married husband (with an awesome wife - she has a lvl 61 WoW Rogue)- pick up a copy of Diablo II and try it out yourself! You need not be sad and lonely, but can instead battle alongside your husband! And what, your husband can't log out for an hour and go run a mile?

I will post this on her personal blog as well... but I posted it here to say that there are healthy and socially beneficial ways to handle our Diablo gaming. She doesn't need to become a stranger to her husband, and her husband doesn't need to get fat when D3 drops! All this addiction talk is ridiculous and gives gamers a bad name (PC gamers in particular).

Ha, I'm with RyTEK. My girlfriend loves video games just as much as I do. If you feel like you're being left for video games, you might want to consider trying to join him instead of thinking you could never get into it without trying.

Why would a gaming dude not try and pair up with a gaming gal anyways? Huge clash of personalities if you love video games and she hates them. :P Not to mention complete separation of interests...
