Columnist Resurrected: The Ninth Circle
Getting back to the task of digging up our classic columnists, here's another batch of Lorelorn's The Ninth Circle. Lorelorn was our more prolific columnist, turning out nearly 60 essays over a two year period, and these I'm adding today are #11-20, from mid-2003. They cover a variety of issues, mostly related to computer gaming and fantasy literature, and it's interesting to look back on the hot issues of the day, 5 years later.
Column 11 is a good one example. In it Lorelorn talks about the upcoming Sony title, Evercraft, which was to be an Everquest-themed, World of Warcraft type RTS. He compares it to Blizzard's upcoming World of Warcraft MMO, which was poised to take on Sony's market leading Everquest, which boasted a massive 400,000 subscribers. Say, how did that battle turn out anyway?
